Brilliantly, Matthew Walker takes elements of the pop songs you're used to and feeds them into some kind of musician-robot, which may or may not be completely under control, and uses it to manufacture something that is shiny on the surface, but is twisting underneath with wrongly connected wires and blown fuses.
Matthew Walker's voice is warm but insistent, and it delivers its message, St-Bernard-like, through a storm of harmonies, melodies, bleeps, squelches and whistles.
