seatunes.org is a music website that aims to put incredible new music right into the ears of the people of the world. And boy, do those ears need it.
seatunes.org is better than other music websites. You don't have to register and there is no special software to download. There is no advertising.
You don't have to pay for seatunes. If you did send us money, it would go straight to the artists, not to the website.
seatunes.org is just a music website. It does not make software or soft drinks.
You can download any seatunes at will. Some artists might suggest a payment of around 60 uk pence - maybe about a dollar - per track, but it's not the law. If you genuinely think that's too much, don't worry. Have the music anyway.
At the moment, the payment system is a bit rudimentary. If you want to pay for your seatunes, that would be really nice. You can send us money using paypal, to paypal@seatunes.org
seatunes are available in Ogg Vorbis format. Ogg Vorbis is a top-quality, open source, patent-free audio format, and it sounds better than mp3. If you're using Microsoft Windows, we recommend the Winamp player.
If you're furious that they're not in mp3, or some other format, let us know.
Yes. Feel free to make electronic copies of seatunes or put them on your CDs or your iPods. Just make sure you keep them intact, with the original tag information still attached. We want people to be able to find their way to seatunes.org if they like the music.
You are not allowed to make money from a seatune.
If you're one of those dreary old electric music collectors you can even share seatunes with peer-to-peer things like LimeWire or Gnutella or whatever they're using these days. Do what you like: we won't be taking you or your feckless parents to court, unless you do something properly mean or illegal.
You can sample seatunes. Please credit the author. If you make a really good song that uses a seatune, or you do a remix or something, we'd like to hear about it - please email crocker@seatunes.org
Bearing that in mind, all the other rights that there might be are reserved.
Yes, of course. As we know, sound business models are at the very heart of each life-changing song that is recorded. That's why we have been very, very careful to make sure that seatunes.org follows a precise corporate strategy that was drawn up over 6 long dark years by our team of hard-bitten legal consultants. It contains all sorts of magnificent words like 'deliverable' and 'branding' and 'upselling'. We are, naturally, very proud of our business achievement in this respect.
If you want to play a seatune on your radio station, use it to calm or excite crowds of people, or use it in your film or tv programme, that would probably be great.
Please email singnlice@seatunes.org.
